My name is Kelly Torok. I am the founder and CEO of KT Medical Staffing. Thank you for taking time out of your day to learn more about who I am and what the company stands for.

 

I earned my Associates in Science in 2014 from New Mexico Military Institute, Roswell, NM and my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2016 from Carson-Newman University, Jefferson City, TN. While in college, I worked as a CNA at a local hospital. Upon graduating with my BSN, I moved to Knoxville, TN and started my career working in the ICU/CVICU. After gaining experience at my first hospital, I began travel nursing after 2.5 years.I have worked as a travel nurse since, working in different facilities in Tennessee and California. I also worked nursing jobs in Hospice, private duty nursing, and organ procurement with One Legacy.

 

I worked as a bedside ICU nurse and Hospice nurse during the COVID-19 Pandemic which is what led me to establish KT Medical Staffing. During the pandemic I worked with various travel nurse agencies. Though the services provided suited me at the time, it concerned me how travel agencies were able to change rates mid contract, decrease rates, and not properly advocate for the nurse. I saw this as something that needed to be fixed in order to advocate for the traveling medical professional. Also, while working with a Hospice company during the Pandemic, I noticed that seniors were having an extremely difficult time finding proper housing solutions that would provide proper assistance and care. It was heartbreaking to see so many seniors in search of proper living arrangements and for their needs to not be met. This led me to establish a Placement Agency component of KTMS to help seniors find the best living arrangements that meets their needs.

 

A core component of KT Medical Staffing is offering the best possible rate. I have worked alongside previous KTMS employees and it has been an honor to financially compensate my employees to the best of my ability. I understand, first hand, what working bedside is like, which is why I take great pride in offering the best financial rates possible. The way I see it, the only difference between you and me is I’ve done a little extra paperwork.

I take great pride in advocating for employees and seniors, always ensuring they are all treated with dignity and respect in every setting. I want to be of service for employees and seniors, which is why I have adopted an open door policy and open streams of communication to answer questions or concerns.

 

I am very proud, honored, and humbled to lead KT Medical Staffing. I know the business cannot run without employees and seniors, and for that I say with the deepest gratitude in my heart, thank you for considering KTMS.
